Thank you for all your warm comments and here are some answers to your questions: I shot this video on VHS-C in my backyard, near Ward, Colorado (8,700' elevation) during a blizzard in the late 1990's; a local weatherman said it was the most measureable snow (if memory serves, it was 54" in 48 hours) from the least amount of moisture ever. This random movie took me about almost three weeks if you don't believe it. It was created since I felt like spilling my mind of imaginations onto a video. Surprisingly, I did this all by myself, I and was recording the videos live and not from demos (due to camera problems), so it was pretty hard. I'm not exactly sure if it's funnier or if it is a great movie, but I only hope that you enjoy it. -- Credits -- For the Numa part, I'd like to give ShadowLeggy some credit for this. I'd basically made my own version from part of her video... except the fact that hers was based on Resident Evil. Check her video out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMvAzYH1xHM&l It inspired me to make that part. -- Game Content -- I filmed most of the parts using Garry's Mod, a modification of Half-Life 2 that is available on Steam for 10 bucks. I took some of the maps and their content from Counter-Strike Source and Half-Life 2 to use on Garry's Mod. Two separate games I used without Garry's Mod were Half-Life: Source and Half-Life: Opposing Force. They are both available on Steam for you to play once paying with a credit card. -- Fun Facts -- 1. The first scene I've ever made for UnKnown Moments was Gordon and the two soldiers [0:26]. 2. Rave Scene [0:50] - It's stop-motion (all made out of screenshots), and it was a bitch to do. :) 3. 1:07 - Ever since I've heard that song years ago, I always imagined the scientists saying "Yah, yah". So I made a part out of it. I had to keep clicking use on them until they said something that'd fit. 4. 1:47 - This is just simple footage from Opposing Force, while fast-forwarded. It wasn't supposed to do that, but since it did I added in some metal. 5. Fat Cop Milkshakin Scene [1:53] - The camera moved like that at the beginning of the scene because I was jumping down off the stairs, hoping to record footage of him shooting on time. I didn't, but it kinda fitted in the video... Also, one of the fat cops has no hair while the other one does. You can also see my HUD (couldn't take it off!) during the part with the cop shooting at the zombie. 6. Combine Love Scene [3:12] - I took this idea from another video that I liked. (See the section "Credits".) 7. Contrary to popular belief, the blowjob scene in the credits at 4:24 was not intended for humor. I was representing the main base of mingebags in Garry's Mod (who usually make sex poses), notice the credits saying "Created On: Garry's Mod". 8. I put a date at the end of the video because I knew this was one of the best videos I was ever gonna make, so I added on a date for historical/milestone reasons. -- Music Content -- 01. Enjoy! -- Contents -- The content shown in this movie are from the games: Half-Life Source, Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike Source, and Garry's Mod. -- Fun Facts -- 1. The very first scene has a dead combine. It's explained in a later scene. 2. For the hummer scene, I'm driving it when it only shows the vehicle. For the rest, I used thrusters to give the illusion of a driver hitting the Metrocop, which was actually me getting pushed back by the hummer's thruster force. 3. I got to admit, the scene with the two Combine at 2:02 was indeed an idea I've got off of the famous Gmod comedy "Shortbits 2". I wanted to extend the idea a little more, and so I did. 4. The S.E.X. scene at 2:18 was actually much longer, but it only led to this awkward unnecessary part of the crowd dancing using thrusters. 5. Camera is visible on the side of the black guy's head at 2:45. 6. "YAH BITCH YAHHH" Scene - Yeah, obviously I was working on this by myself. You can easily see the switch from of me as a Combine Elite to the Combine Prison Guard. Also, the next part with the Monk was me. For some reason, the NPC (Combine Prison Guard) only looked at me instead of firing the RPG. I used this to my advantage. I'm creative like that. :) 7. I felt it necessary to have another lip sync scene from Half-Life, like I did in the first UnKnown Moments. 8. Try to look at what Alyx is facing towards at 4:49. It's been over a year since I've last made a series for UnKnown Moments. Wait no longer for the third, for it is here for your viewing pleasure. It took me many days of pure effort to bring this together, so I hope you enjoy it all! (For extra comedy, view to the very end!) -- Fun Facts -- 1. The first part that made it into UnKnown Moments 3 was created in late January, which was the scene with Breen with the jeep. From there, I slowly finished part by part for the video. 2. The parts are not arranged by the date they were completed. I simply stuck scenes between others using my own judgment of what might fit better where. 3. The very first part, the introduction, and the credits were all made near the end of production. 4. There are lyrical jokes in most of the parts; some may appear noticeable. For example, the very first part, the rebel says, "Somewhere we live inside." Guess where the zombie came out of? From inside his body. 5. The last part I created, aside from the credits, was the Combine Elite singing "Handlebars" by Flobots. It was also the most stressful scene for me, due to running into many problems to where I had to remake it all over again. 6. The background of the introduction shows many of the famous characters that starred in UnKnown Moments 1 & 2. 7. The subtitle of UnKnown Moments 3 was, at first, "Unforgotten". But then, I decided UnForgettable was more acceptable to me. That's the reason why I accidentally typed "Unforgotten" into this video's thread on the Facepunch Forums. 8. The very first part, with the rebel speaking, was all made in SCREENSHOTS. Yeah, it took awhile to make every little face pose for him to look like he's singing. 9. There are mistakes in the video that are hardly noticeable. For the scene that used the song "Smooth Criminal", while the guy is talking to the zombie bottom-right of the screen, mid-way he has a sudden yellow tint. This is from me accidentally throwing a bugbait at him, instead of firing the camera tool. Others include a tiny blood spot on the floor during the 'is it gay...' scene, while the Combine is making the humping motion and blood spots behind the zombie in the 'cant be touched' scene. 10. In the scene with Gordon in the jeep, when they show the two girls, you can see a Civilian from the mod "Fortress Forever" in the background. 11. In the scene with the terrorist driving the jeep, I had to drive and turn corners while recording from a different angle... it was very, VERY difficult. 12. I got mad dancing skillz. -- Thanks -- Ak_Duke and Hai helped me for certain parts of the video. Thanks to them, you're able to watch the funny scenes I've came up with in my head that required more than just me. -- Content -- Certain games are showed in my video. Those include Half-Life 2 content, Counter-Strike Source, Half-Life Source (with 3rd party HD Pack installed), and Garry's Mod. -- Recording -- No, I didn't use fraps or any third-party video-recorder. I used what was built into the source engine itself. For more information, google up "Source Recorder". -- Audio -- Other than songs, most of the sounds came from Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike Source's GCF files found in your steamapps folder.
