Dem Streben nach "Freiheit", titelgebend für Curse' aktuelles Album, ist auch dessen neue Single „Bis zum Schluss entsprungen. Einmal mehr hat Curse darauf seine gestiegenen Ansprüche an akustische Intensität mit lyrischer Tiefe und Nähe gekreuzt, und hält jetzt die nächste emotionsgeladene Hymne in den Händen: Der Inhalt in „Bis zum Schluss wiegt beinahe schwerer, als ein einzelner Mensch allein zu tragen imstande ist, denn gerade um das Zusammensein oder Nicht-Zusammensein geht es hier. So wartet Curse bei diesem Stück mit einer musikalischen Kollaboration auf, die die Ketten künstlerischer Eindimensionalität sprengt: Silbermond. „Kennengelernt haben wir uns auf einem Festival in der Schweiz. Ich hatte meinen Auftritt bereits hinter mir und stand mit meiner Band im Backstage an der Bar, als Silbermond nach ihrer Show dazu kamen. Ich hatte mir vorgenommen, Steffi anzusprechen um Ihr ein Kompliment für Ihre Musik zu machen, als sie sich plötzlich neben mich gestellt und gemeint hat, dass ‚Und was ist jetzt einer ihrer absoluten Lieblingssongs sei. Danach war das Eis natürlich sofort gebrochen und nach einem mehrstündigen Gespräch über Musik und das Leben an sich habe ich mich von ihr mit den Worten getrennt: Irgendwann mache ich eine Fortsetzung von ‚Und was ist jetzt und dann rufe ich dich an. Das eindrucksvolle Ergebnis dieses Versprechens ist in „Bis zum Schluss zu hören: der gemeinsam von Silbermond und Curse geschriebene und produzierte Song ist hochemotional und ergreifend. Der harte, aufgewühlte Rap von Curse trifft auf die sinnlich-filigrane Stimme von Silbermond-Sängerin Stefanie Kloß, wuchtige Drums werden umrahmt von sensiblen Chords. „Bis zum Schluss ist ein vertontes Zeugnis der Zerrissenheit, auf dem ergreifende Texte in einem Song münden, der durch kreative Grenzenlosigkeit glänzt.
