In Japan, and in various urban places around the world, kaiten-sushi (conveyor-belt sushi) is the rave experience. Here a couple of foreign students from Osaka record this world and the priceless expressions of the surprised Japanese patrons.

Kaiten sushi is very famous in Japan. Sushi is carry on a belt conveyor, and sushi turns around the customers. We pick up sushi we like and can eat it. Prices are generally different by a kind. But, there is also a sushi bar of all 100 yen in Japan. A sushi bar of 100 yen calculates a total of a price with the number of the plate where sushi was put. the price differs from the kinds of fish in a general bar. For that reason, the pattern of the plate represents the price. We call two pieces of sushies ikkan. The conveyer - belt in Sushi bar turns right - handed. Because it's easy sistem for right - handed people to take the plate. People seldom eat octopus in freign country, but Japanese people eat it as a kind of sushi. And not only sushi but also noodle, miso - soup and desert turn in a sushi bar if you cannot find your favorite kind, There are two ways to order sushi. One is the way to order to the　clerk and the other is to order by using the order　phone. Anyway, ENJOY Sushi in Japan, once!!

In Episode 2, Misato and I take a trip to Sushi Meijin, a kaiten zushi 回転寿司 (conveyor belt sushi) restaurant in Kyushu. Of all the "cliche", fun things to do in Japan, this has to be tops. In Oita where there is a plentitude of cheap, fresh fish, these sushiyas offer great sushi at a great price. I have heard that 100 yen sushi shops in bigger cities aren't nearly as tasty, but I've never tried. Enjoy your kaiten zushi tour!
